Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Geartrain Systems

About the role

Join a fast‑growing electric‑vehicle development team as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. You will be responsible for designing geartrain components that meet demanding functional requirements such as durability, efficiency, weight, cost, and NVH performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design geartrain parts including gears, shafts, bearings, and differentials.
• Perform analytical design analysis and verification using state‑of‑the‑art simulation tools.
• Lead cross‑functional teams of designers, purchasers, and process developers.
• Ensure designs satisfy durability, efficiency, weight, cost, and NVH targets.

Required profile

• MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong background in mechanics, dynamics, NVH, and durability simulation.
• Experience with automotive or high‑torque powertrain applications.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, international, and dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Gear, shaft, and bearing design.
• CAE and FEA simulation (including MASTA).
• Stress analysis and lifetime prediction methods.
• NVH and durability simulation.
• Proficiency with CREO CAD software.
