Senior Manager – Technical Program Management

About the role

This senior leadership position is based in Belgium and sits at the core of a fast‑growing, globally distributed engineering organization. You will define and scale the Technical Program Management function from scratch, creating the systems and standards that enable cross‑functional teams to deliver reliably at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale the TPM function, establishing its operating model, standards, engagement patterns and long‑term structure.
• Recruit, mentor and manage a high‑performing team of senior TPMs, ensuring quality and preventing drift into administrative tasks.
• Design and own the execution framework linking Engineering, Product, Design, Customer Success, Support, GTM and PMM.
• Define company‑wide project execution standards within tools such as Linear, including tagging, milestones and visibility conventions.
• Lead dependency mapping and launch readiness for large‑scale, multi‑team initiatives.
• Implement program‑level visibility systems that give leadership clear insight without adding operational overhead.
• Partner with Engineering Managers and functional leaders to reinforce accountability and enable delivery.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or equivalent delivery leadership in high‑growth, distributed software companies.
• Proven track record of building, scaling or transforming a TPM function and managing senior TPMs.
• Strong technical fluency with the ability to understand architecture, evaluate engineering trade‑offs and engage senior engineering stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success designing cross‑functional execution systems between engineering and go‑to‑market or customer‑facing teams.
