Senior Manager, Project Engineering

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Manager to lead engineering and design activities for large, complex capital infrastructure projects at its Belgium campus in Geel. The role combines strategic planning, technical coordination, and talent development to ensure projects align with business objectives and delivery standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all engineering and design activities for large capital infrastructure projects.
• Define, identify, and secure appropriate tools and technical resources, both internal and external.
• Coordinate technical team members and third‑party design firms or consultants to deliver projects on schedule.
• Facilitate definition of project requirements with business partners and ensure sufficient detail for solution development.
• Participate in strategic and tactical Project Execution Planning (PEP) processes.
• Contribute to regional operational strategy setting and achievement of business‑focused goals.
• Drive personal and team talent development within the Global and Regional Engineering & Design function.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering and design for large, complex capital projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
• Experience in strategic project planning and execution.
• Leadership skills to develop talent and align teams with business objectives.
