Senior JavaScript & React Developer

About the role

We are looking for a senior JavaScript and React developer to join an Agile squad and build high-quality, scalable frontend applications. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features across web, mobile and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain React-based frontend applications following clean code and software craftsmanship principles.
• Translate business requirements into clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Design, build, and optimise high-performance, reusable components.
• Write and maintain automated tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, pair programming, code reviews and continuous improvement.
• Integrate applications with APIs and external data sources while ensuring performance and responsiveness.
• Contribute to backend development with Java and Spring Framework when required.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve application bottlenecks and production issues.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as a React or frontend software engineer.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience).
• Strong English communication skills; Dutch or French a plus.

Required skills

• Core JavaScript and React.
• Git, Jest, React Testing Library.
• Clean Code, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, Test-Driven Development.
• Agile/Scrum development experience.
• Java, Spring Framework, Maven and relational databases (advantage).
• Understanding of authentication processes and secure application development.
