Senior Frontend Developer (React/TypeScript)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing SaaS fintech company in Ghent that builds financial technology solutions for businesses. As a Senior Frontend Developer you will work directly with the CTO to own and evolve the React‑based front‑end architecture of a complex SaaS product.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the React front‑end architecture, ensuring performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO on technical strategy and product direction.
• Lead architectural decisions, write production‑ready code, and drive improvements in performance, accessibility, and security.
• Run technical interviews, conduct thorough code reviews, and help scale the engineering team.
• Mentor and coach front‑end and full‑stack developers, promoting testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional front‑end development experience.
• Deep expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience defining and maintaining front‑end architecture in a SaaS environment.
• Strong understanding of state management, component design patterns, and performance optimisation.
• Experience working with senior leadership, conducting technical interviews, and mentoring engineers.
• Fintech or highly regulated‑environment experience is a plus.
