Senior Financial Reporting Consultant – IFRS Expertise

About the role

KPMG is looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Consultant to join its CFO Advisory practice in Belgium. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to help CFOs navigate complex financial reporting, capital‑markets and ESG challenges, contributing to sustainable growth for their organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting support on deal and post‑deal accounting, consolidation, IPO preparation, carve‑outs and special financial statements.
• Lead IFRS conversions, adoption of new accounting standards and ESG reporting initiatives.
• Develop sector‑specific accounting expertise and deliver thorough technical analyses for clients.
• Shape financial and non‑financial communication to create measurable client impact.
• Participate in practice development and business‑development activities to expand the CFO Advisory footprint in the Belgian market.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with 3–5 years of experience in accounting or audit, including exposure to IFRS or capital‑markets.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a keen interest in the substance behind transactions.
• Curiosity about ESG reporting and a commitment to stay up‑to‑date with IFRS and ISSB developments.
• Fluency in English and either Dutch or French, both written and spoken.
