Senior Financial Controller – Group Consolidation & Reporting

About the role

Gaming1, an international leader in land‑based and online games of chance, is looking for a Senior Financial Controller to lead group consolidation and reporting from its Liège office. You will ensure high‑quality financial statements, drive automation initiatives and provide deep financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead end‑to‑end Group consolidation (IFRS and BE‑GAAP), including scope validation, intercompany reconciliations and consolidation adjustments.
• Produce the Group reporting package (balance sheet, cash‑flow statement, P&L, net debt and key indicators) and implement improvement projects such as working‑capital optimisation.
• Manage technical accounting topics including Purchase Price Allocation, impairments, IFRS updates and financial‑instrument accounting.
• Prepare annual consolidated financial statements with IFRS notes and ensure audit readiness.
• Increase closing and reporting efficiency by reducing lead times, structuring documentation and enhancing procedures.
• Leverage automation and AI tools to streamline reporting, analysis and challenge existing processes.
• Deliver in‑depth analyses for acquisitions, expansions and monitor subsidiary performance against key metrics.
• Lead cross‑functional finance transformation initiatives and coach a medior finance controller.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Group Finance environments with strong consolidation and reporting expertise.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS (or high potential to develop it) and exposure to consolidation topics such as PPA, financial instruments and leases.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Sharp critical thinking and ability to challenge assumptions and analyse complex situations.
