Senior Financial Analyst – EMEA & APAC (Heart Failure)

About the role

Abbott’s Heart Failure business is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support its EMEA and APAC regions. In this highly visible position you will act as a trusted partner to finance and commercial leaders, driving balance‑sheet management, working‑capital performance and strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly close and forecasting processes (LBE).
• Lead balance‑sheet reviews across EMEA & APAC, focusing on Accounts Receivable, working capital and Other Assets & Liabilities.
• Own SG&A reporting, forecasting and spend management for the region.
• Analyze financial performance and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
• Identify risks, opportunities and key performance drivers through data‑driven analysis.
• Develop executive‑ready reporting and presentations to support decision‑making.
• Drive reporting standardisation, process simplification and automation initiatives.
• Participate in strategic finance projects that support business growth and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, Controllership or Commercial Finance.
• Strong understanding of balance‑sheet management, working capital, financial reporting and SG&A.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
• Experience with large data sets and financial systems such as Hyperion, Dodeca or SAP.
• Proactive, results‑driven mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, matrix environment.
• Fluent in English.
