Senior Contract Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Jan De Nul Group is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join its Contract Management team for a major building project in the Hainaut/Namur region. You will act as the bridge between project management, legal, and operational teams, ensuring contractual risks are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support project teams on all contractual matters from preparation to execution.
• Prepare, analyse, and substantiate claims, variation orders, and notices related to disruptions or changes.
• Develop contractual strategies in collaboration with project management and the legal department.
• Assist in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate, legally substantiated project records and documentation.
• Ensure timely contractual communication and compliance.

Required profile

• Strong experience in contract management for large‑scale, complex construction projects.
• Proven ability to handle claims, variations, and negotiations.
• Fluent French speaker, comfortable working on‑site with the local team.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
