Senior Consultant – Accountancy (Gent / Roeselare)

About the role

As a Senior Consultant in Accountancy at BDO, you will act as a trusted advisor to a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from innovative SMEs to international corporations. You will translate complex financial data into clear, strategic insights that support confident decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a range of client accounts and conduct regular on‑site visits.
• Prepare interim balance sheets, update financial results, and manage VAT returns.
• Compile annual financial statements and tax returns for clients.
• Provide pragmatic, personalized financial advice throughout the client journey.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to their professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Economics.
• Minimum 2 years of solid accounting experience.
• Fluency in Dutch and proficiency in English; French is a plus.
• Curious, solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
