Senior Buyer / Purchaser – Manufacturing (Greater St. Truiden)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer / Purchaser to join a fast‑growing international industrial company. The role is based in the Greater St. Truiden area and focuses on sourcing direct and critical indirect materials for a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle: identify suppliers, request and negotiate quotations, and issue purchase orders in line with company policies.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term category strategies for direct and critical indirect materials and services.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to support company growth objectives.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to obtain forecast and demand data for proactive sourcing decisions.
• Support R&D and Engineering teams during New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or sourcing, preferably in a manufacturing setting and with both local and global exposure.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Highly motivated to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
