Senior Auditor – External Audit (Brussels)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join a leading client in Brussels. The role is hands‑on, allowing you to work on a varied portfolio of external audit engagements while collaborating closely with managers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in and progressively lead external audit missions for multiple clients.
• Review financial statements in line with Belgian GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Assess internal controls, identify risks, and document audit findings.
• Draft audit reports and management letters.
• Maintain professional contact with client finance teams throughout engagements.
• Support audit planning and coordinate fieldwork with team members.
• Take on increasing responsibility as experience grows.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an audit firm environment.
• Direct experience with Belgian taxation.
• Exposure to multiple client engagements in external audit.
• Good knowledge of Belgian GAAP; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• ITAA certification in progress is considered a strong asset.
• Bilingual in French/English or English/Dutch.
