Senior Accountant – Trusted Advisor

About the role

Do you enjoy getting your teeth into challenging customer projects? As a Senior Accountant at Grant Thornton you act as a trusted advisor for local SMEs, Belgian establishments and multinationals, supporting them with tax, financial and reporting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in preparing interim statements and annual reports, both for Belgian medium-sized companies and international clients, often on‑site.
• Maintain accounts, prepare VAT and tax returns, and attend tax audits.
• Work autonomously on assignments and progress to more complex cases, including cross‑selling opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy‑Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a consultancy or accountancy firm.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Result‑oriented, responsible and passionate about numbers.

Required skills

• Preparation of VAT and tax returns.
• Interim and annual financial reporting.
• Audit support.
