Senior Accountant – Joint Ventures (Construction)

About the role

BESIX Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead the accounting and financial follow‑up of joint‑venture projects. You will ensure accurate reporting, compliance with standards, and effective coordination with internal and external partners while supporting the Team Leader as a backup.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple joint‑venture entities.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping, including journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Monitor cash flow, project costs and partner allocations.
• Produce partner reporting and financial summaries for joint‑venture participants.
• Coordinate with project managers, partners, auditors and external accountants.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and internal procedures.
• Assist audit processes and provide required documentation.
• Improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Act as backup for the Team Leader, supporting team coordination when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of end‑to‑end accounting experience, preferably in project accounting, joint ventures or construction.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and detail‑oriented skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent in English with professional proficiency in Dutch and French.
