Security Engineer

About the role

DPG Media is looking for a Security Engineer to protect the digital environment of the largest media group in the Benelux. You will act as the guardian of the organisation’s infrastructure, leading detection, analysis and mitigation of cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the Vulnerability Management lifecycle, from identification to remediation tracking and reporting.
• Manage and optimise Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities to enhance threat detection and response.
• Support design, implementation and operation of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Zero‑Trust solutions.
• Monitor, analyse and improve Network Detection and Response (NDR) capabilities.
• Contribute to the Security Awareness programme and phishing simulations.
• Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, Cloud and Networking teams to embed security best practices.
• Evaluate and implement new security technologies and maintain documentation, procedures and playbooks.

Required profile

• 4–7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations or security engineering.
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability management processes and remediation workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with EDR platforms and familiarity with SASE, Zero‑Trust and remote‑access technologies.
• Experience with NDR technologies, SIEM, threat intelligence and incident response.
• Ability to communicate risks to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
