Science Technician (Lab Support)

About the role

The British School of Brussels is seeking a Science Technician to support laboratory-based learning for students aged 11‑18. You will work closely with teachers and other technicians to ensure safe, well‑organised, and engaging practical science sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare materials and equipment for science lessons across biology, chemistry, physics and environmental systems.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised laboratories.
• Check stock levels, manage resources and order supplies as needed.
• Support practical science activities and assist teachers during lessons.
• Provide occasional help across different science subjects when required.

Required profile

• Works well with others and demonstrates good teamwork.
• Highly organised and follows safety rules meticulously.
• Shows genuine care for student wellbeing and safety.

Required skills

• Laboratory experience (school or technical support environment).
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
• Basic equipment repair abilities.
• Practical experience with biology, chemistry and physics experiments.
