RS Technician – Nuclear Equipment Maintenance

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a skilled RS Technician to support the preparation, maintenance, testing, and operation of specialized mechanical and electromechanical equipment used during nuclear power plant outages worldwide. You will work closely with engineering and project teams, contributing to the repair, commissioning, testing, and field deployment of advanced technologies in demanding nuclear environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on specialized equipment such as milling systems, drilling equipment, EDM systems, bolting systems and other remotely operated tools.
• Diagnose equipment issues, execute corrective actions and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Participate in commissioning, testing, parameter development, validation, troubleshooting and performance optimisation of newly developed equipment.
• Manufacture, modify and assemble mechanical and electrical components, verify functionality before deployment.
• Install and configure software, control units and industrial network communications; support troubleshooting of software‑hardware interfaces.
• Operate specialized equipment onsite during nuclear plant outages, following strict safety, quality and procedural requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and operations teams across multiple countries, providing field feedback for product improvement.
