Rotating Equipment Engineer

About the role

ExxonMobil is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Antwerp Refinery and the Antwerp Meerhout Polymers Plant (AMPP). You will be responsible for operating and optimizing rotating equipment within our high‑pressure polymer production processes, working closely with operators, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor rotating equipment in the refinery and polymer plant.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance, and engineering specialists to ensure optimal efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and safety.
• Support high‑pressure ethylene compression (>2500 bar) and downstream polymer cutting and pelletising processes.
• Identify and implement improvements to equipment reliability and performance.
• Participate in troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of equipment issues.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic engineering professional willing to work in a collaborative, safety‑focused environment.
• Ability to work onsite at a large integrated refinery and polymer plant.
• Interest in developing technical expertise in rotating machinery and high‑pressure systems.
