Robotics Software Engineer

About the role

Intermodalics is looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to join its Leuven office. You will design, build, deploy and operate robotics software both in the cloud and at the edge, turning complex challenges into reliable, AI‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship C++ and/or Python robotics applications on Linux platforms.
• Integrate and maintain ROS 2, Orocos and NVIDIA Jetson toolchains.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver software for internal projects and customer solutions.
• Own end‑to‑end missions, from design through testing and deployment.
• Provide technical support and documentation for global users.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Robotics Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently while being a team player.
• Analytical, proactive problem‑solver with good reporting skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
