Resource Manager

About the role

The Resource Manager will support the Joint Medical Division (JMED) at NATO SHAPE by planning, allocating and monitoring resources for medical capability projects under the NATO 2030 Common Funding framework. This full‑time position is based in the NATO office in Mons, Belgium.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the development and strategic planning of medical capabilities for NATO 2030 projects.
• Represent JMED at NATO conferences and working groups.
• Define project objectives, timelines and monitor progress, reporting risks and issues.
• Integrate medical initiatives into the Common Funded Capability Delivery Governance Model.
• Allocate resources, optimise workflows and manage project budgets.
• Collaborate with J8 Budget and Policy Branch to secure funding and prepare Budget Committee briefings.
• Work with J8 Acquisition Management Branch on procurement preparation and communication.
• Act as alternate fund manager and authorized requestor, providing expert advice on funded projects.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of professional experience in project management, business risk or change management.
• Experience in resource management, including tools and processes to secure resources.
• Proven ability to prepare routine correspondence and briefing materials.
• Willingness to undertake temporary duty assignments (TDY) and work unsocial hours.
