Reliability & Maintenance Engineer

About the role

As a Reliability & Maintenance Engineer you will drive the performance, reliability and availability of production equipment in a food‑industry environment. You will work closely with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to develop strategies that minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve preventive, predictive and condition‑based maintenance strategies.
• Analyse equipment failures, conduct root‑cause analysis (RCA) and risk assessments such as FMEA, and track KPIs like MTBF, MTTR and OEE.
• Manage maintenance planning and execution within a CMMS, coordinating overhauls, shutdowns and technical upgrades.
• Deploy predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermography) and support spare‑parts inventory optimisation.
• Coach technicians and operators, ensure compliance with safety, quality and food‑industry standards, and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance, reliability or industrial engineering, preferably in the food or process sector.
• Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work cross‑functionally.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Required skills

• CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) usage.
• Predictive maintenance techniques – vibration analysis, thermography.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Maintenance KPI management – MTBF, MTTR, OEE.
