Regional Manufacturing Excellence Lead

About the role

Ball, a global leader in sustainable aluminium packaging, is seeking a Regional Manufacturing Excellence Lead for the EMEA region. You will guide Plant-based Manufacturing Excellence Managers, champion lean practices, and drive measurable improvements across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing Excellence Managers in deploying a standardized Lean‑Based Management System across EMEA plants.
• Define and execute deployment strategies, including planning, training, coaching, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate change management to ensure long‑term adoption of Lean thinking.
• Identify and remove barriers to operational excellence within plants and regional production groups.
• Manage strategic improvement projects from analysis through sustainable execution.
• Deliver measurable cost savings and efficiency gains while enhancing competitiveness in cost, quality, and service.
• Partner with regional leadership to scope, launch, and deliver initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and promote knowledge sharing across the region.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience deploying Lean methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, preferably in a matrix organization.
• Strong project‑management capabilities with end‑to‑end delivery experience.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and manufacturing cost drivers.
• Excellent communication skills, able to influence without direct authority.
