QA/QC Manager – Industrial Crane Manufacturing

About the role

Gantrex is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead quality control for its crane runway products manufactured both internally and by subcontractors in Belgium and abroad. Reporting to the General Manager Operations (BE) and working closely with the Group Technical Department, the manager ensures compliance with technical specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational quality control of manufactured parts, including planning, coordinating, and performing inspections based on technical drawings.
• Prepare inspection documentation, validate reports, and provide technical support to production, purchasing, and sales teams.
• Lead non‑conformity management, conduct root‑cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001‑based Quality Management System.
• Manage calibration, maintenance, and documentation of measuring equipment.
• Identify quality risks, especially with suppliers, and drive improvement actions.
• Monitor supplier quality performance, participate in supplier audits, and ensure qualification status.

Required profile

• Experience in quality management within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work with technical drawings and define inspection methods.
• Strong analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and risk identification.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 quality management system implementation.
• Root‑cause analysis and corrective‑preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Supplier audit and qualification procedures.
