QA Engineer (Hybrid) – Brussels

About the role

Craft it is seeking a QA Engineer to own quality on complex financial implementations for large international banks and financial institutions. Working in a hybrid setting from Brussels, you will design test strategies, build automation, and act as the QA point of contact for your workstream.

Key responsibilities

• Design functional, regression and UAT test strategies for client implementations.
• Write and maintain automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Contribute to and improve the test automation framework and CI/CD practices.
• Lead end‑to‑end test execution cycles, from planning through validation.
• Prepare and validate test data, including direct SQL queries.
• Perform API‑level testing (REST, JSON, occasional XML).
• Produce clear bug reports and defect analyses.
• Document test results, coverage and risks for client action.
• Support and review junior QA engineers and contribute to release validation decisions.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of QA experience with hands‑on automation.
• Ability to autonomously own a testing scope from planning to release.
• Structured, rigorous approach and clear communication in English and French.
• Ownership mindset, focusing on outcomes rather than tasks.

Required skills

• Playwright automation framework.
• TypeScript and JavaScript programming.
• SQL for database validation.
• REST API testing (JSON, XML).
• Azure DevOps and Git for delivery pipelines.
• CI/CD integration concepts.
• Familiarity with Cypress or Selenium (willingness to adopt Playwright).
