Python Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our backend team. You will work on critical infrastructure projects, designing and implementing secure, scalable services that power our core applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and modern frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Design data models and validation layers with Pydantic.
• Implement asynchronous processing with AsyncIO and integrate message queues like RabbitMQ.
• Write efficient SQL queries for MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases and support NoSQL solutions where needed.
• Collaborate on service‑based and event‑driven architectures, ensuring security and compliance.
• Participate in code reviews, refactoring legacy code, and mentor junior developers.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerisation with Docker, and cloud deployments on Azure.

Required profile

• IT or related academic degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• 6+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years with Python.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in agile teams.
• Excellent communication in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
