Purchaser – Procurement & Logistics (Antwerp)

About the role

The Purchaser will support the EXMAR Shipmanagement Procurement & Logistics team by ensuring an efficient and cost‑effective supply of spares, stores and services to the fleet. Working from the Antwerp head office, you will help keep assets operational through timely procurement and logistics coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and compare price inquiries for spares, stores and services from multiple vendors.
• Verify vendor offers against asset and operational requirements.
• Negotiate commercial and legal terms to achieve best value.
• Present quotations for approval by the Technical Superintendent.
• Place and manage purchase orders for approved items.
• Coordinate delivery logistics, including transport routes, documentation and customs formalities.
• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely supply to assets.
• Evaluate vendor performance and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical procurement or logistics.
• Strong interest in technical products and processes.
• Meticulous, proactive and highly organized.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.
