Purchaser – Procurement & Logistics (Antwerp)

About the role

The Purchaser will support the EXMAR Shipmanagement Procurement & Logistics team in Antwerp, ensuring an efficient and cost‑effective supply of spares, stores and services for the fleet. This position is part of the shore‑based fleet team and reports to the Head of Fleet Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and compare price inquiries for spares, stores and services from multiple vendors.
• Verify vendor offers against asset and operational requirements.
• Negotiate commercial and legal terms to secure best value.
• Present validated quotations for approval by the Technical Superintendent.
• Place and manage purchase orders for approved items.
• Coordinate delivery logistics, including transport routes, documentation and customs formalities.
• Ensure timely supply to assets and keep the team updated on delivery schedules.
• Evaluate vendor performance and share best practices for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical procurement or logistics.
• Strong interest in technical products and processes.
• Meticulous, proactive and highly organized.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.
