Public Sector IT Project Manager

About the role

As a Public Sector IT Project Manager you will lead digital transformation initiatives that directly improve public services. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders and external partners to deliver sustainable, high‑quality IT solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver strategic IT projects.
• Align project outcomes with clients’ digital transformation goals using IT strategy and architecture.
• Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex topics into clear recommendations on systems, processes and governance.
• Develop and maintain flexible project plans while balancing priorities, long‑term objectives and stakeholder needs.
• Integrate advanced technologies, including AI, to enhance efficiency, quality and sustainability.
• Build strong relationships between technical experts, business stakeholders and external partners.
• Ensure delivery complies with quality standards, regulatory requirements and sector‑specific guidelines.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and assisting go‑to‑market activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, informatics, engineering or a comparable field.
• Minimum 5 years of project‑management experience, preferably in the public sector.
• Proven record of delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
• Consulting experience and certifications such as Scrum Master, Agile Project Management, COBIT, ITIL or TOGAF are assets.
• Strong understanding of digital strategy, analytical thinking and ability to manage multiple inter‑dependent projects.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management and change‑management skills.
• Innovation‑oriented mindset, confidence with AI topics and ethical decision‑making.
• Fluency in English and French; Dutch is a plus.
