Public Affairs Intern

About the role

ISDI is seeking a motivated Public Affairs Intern to support its work at the intersection of public health, food science, and nutrition. This position offers hands‑on experience with international policy initiatives related to special dietary foods, including infant and young child nutrition.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor policy developments within the UN system, focusing on infant and young child nutrition, and summarise key updates.
• Assist in drafting advocacy materials, data trends, and analysis for stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and member organisations to prepare advocacy efforts.
• Provide administrative support for sector‑specific meetings and operational tasks.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or final‑year student in political science, public health, law, international relations, or food and nutrition.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Self‑starter capable of navigating complex issues and environments.
