Project Procurement Manager – CAPEX Construction (Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Project Lead to manage end‑to‑end sourcing for a large‑scale CAPEX construction programme in the pharmaceutical sector. The role is hands‑on, coordinating with project managers, engineering teams and procurement colleagues to deliver construction, MEP and process equipment packages.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for assigned CAPEX packages, from RFI/RFQ/RFP preparation to supplier selection.
• Develop sourcing strategies aligned with project objectives and best‑practice procurement.
• Define scopes of work together with engineering and project teams.
• Conduct commercial evaluations, benchmarking and provide supplier recommendations.
• Negotiate commercial terms, contracts and manage contractual documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance, change orders, contract amendments and commercial claims throughout project execution.
• Track procurement schedules, risks, savings and value delivery, ensuring compliance with governance and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering procurement packages on CAPEX construction projects up to €50 M.
• Strong track record negotiating and managing high‑value contracts.
• Excellent commercial and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple packages simultaneously and work independently within multidisciplinary teams.
