Project Manager – Systems (Industrial Projects)

About the role

The Project Manager – Systems is responsible for delivering customer projects from technical definition through commissioning. The role owns the technical solution, schedule, cost control and coordination of engineering activities to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction in the refractory business.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of customer projects, ensuring technical performance meets expectations.
• Define, validate and implement flow‑control and refractory solutions to achieve required operational performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, guaranteeing milestones and contractual commitments are met.
• Control project costs, identify efficiency opportunities and maintain quality.
• Lead cross‑functional resources, including global engineering, supply chain, operations and customers.
• Manage scope and evaluate change requests, assessing impact on cost, schedule and performance.
• Coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), commissioning and customer hand‑over.
• Identify, assess and communicate risks, implementing mitigation and corrective actions.
• Provide accurate reporting on progress, risks, costs and key deliverables.
• Promote quality, safety and operational excellence throughout project activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in mechanical, electromechanical, industrial engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in an industrial or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of project planning, scheduling and budgeting principles.
• Experience with commissioning, start‑up, FAT/SAT and customer‑facing execution of industrial projects.
• Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience in steelmaking, refractory applications, flow‑control systems or heavy industry is considered an asset.
