Project Manager – Substations & PMO (2 openings)

About the role

Elia Group, Belgium’s national electricity transmission system operator, is seeking two experienced professionals to join its Brussels team: a Medior Project Leader for high‑voltage substation projects and a Project Management Officer (PMO) to support project coordination and reporting. Both roles contribute to the country’s energy transition and grid modernization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end HV substation projects, including engineering, technical studies, budgeting, planning, tendering and site coordination.
• Oversee procurement, site supervision and delivery of projects ranging from 36 kV to 380 kV.
• Provide PMO support: project coordination, reporting, planning, Power BI dashboards and executive presentations.
• Maintain documentation, data management and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Engineering background with proven project management or site supervision experience (Medior level).
• Experience in PMO, project coordination or administration.
• EU citizenship or a valid Belgian work/residence permit.
• Fluency in Dutch (mandatory); French is a strong advantage for the substation role.
