Project Manager (Operations & Safety)

About the role

The Project Manager is responsible for organising, monitoring and ensuring the successful completion of projects within an operating unit, while complying with health, safety and environmental regulations. This role coordinates resources, manages budgets and leads teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse job risks and enforce health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Allocate human and hardware resources, and provide necessary information to site foremen.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution and delivery.
• Manage financial and contractual aspects, including budgeting, invoicing, subcontractor coordination and risk identification.
• Monitor performance indicators, set objectives for site foremen and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Drive operational optimisation through innovative solutions, such as process variants or deadline reductions.
• Lead, train and assess project teams, and participate in recruitment activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project management within an operational or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and internal procedures.
• Ability to plan resources, manage budgets and handle contractual relationships.
• Excellent risk management and problem‑solving skills.
• Leadership experience with team organisation, training and performance evaluation.
