Project Manager – Data Center Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with an electrical background to lead data‑center construction projects for our client in Mons. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors and address project‑related concerns.
• Create and maintain the Master Project Schedule using Primavera P6, based on critical path and key milestones.
• Develop the Master Project Budget, covering soft and hard costs, bonds, insurance, contingencies, and allowances.
• Support contractor pre‑qualification, bid solicitation, analysis, and recommendation processes.
• Lead contract negotiations in collaboration with client’s PM and legal counsel.
• Coordinate design‑team activities and manage the General Contractor and other vendors on‑site.
• Monitor, track, and analyse schedule performance.
• Control project documentation, including addenda, bulletins, drawing sets, and clarifications.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance and report any gaps.
• Process and track invoices, payment applications, and related financial documents.
• Manage owner‑direct vendors and consultants throughout the project.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction sites, especially data‑center or complex infrastructure projects.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP or equivalent engineering qualifications.
