Project Engineer (PAC) – Civil/Industrial Engineering

About the role

The Project Engineer PAC will join a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver high‑voltage electrical infrastructure projects (380 kV, 220 kV, 150 kV, 70 kV and 36 kV). You will be responsible for the technical implementation, ensuring design coherence, quality and functional performance from feasibility studies through to project closure.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on the design and execution of protection, automation and control systems for substations and transmission lines.
• Coordinate with Project Leaders and fellow Project Engineers to align technical and organisational objectives.
• Conduct technical studies, guide the design team during detailed engineering, and verify that work meets scope and quality standards.
• Monitor project functionality, detect impacts of new concepts, and take corrective actions to keep implementation on schedule.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate status to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in civil or industrial engineering with a construction focus.
• Strong analytical ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Very good command of French and good understanding of Dutch.
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electricity grids and high‑voltage infrastructure.
• Experience with protection and automation systems.
• Familiarity with control systems and substation equipment.
• Understanding of overhead line and tower design.
• Basic knowledge of foundations and building structures for energy projects.
