Project Engineer – Electrical Projects

About the role

ArcelorMittal is seeking a Project Engineer to support electrical investment projects for its production sites in Liège. You will be involved from the early design stage through assembly, testing and commissioning, ensuring projects meet technical, safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of investment projects from feasibility studies to commissioning, following CIPM standards.
• Conduct studies, planning, budgeting and supplier selection during pre‑project phases.
• Organise work packages based on internal resources and supplier capacities.
• Develop technical documents (specifications, plans, calculation notes) and approve electrical diagrams and functional analyses.
• Define purchasing strategy, align technical offers and validate supplier choices.
• Ensure safety, environmental compliance and CE/legal conformity throughout construction.
• Monitor budget and schedule with the portfolio manager and report project progress.
• Finalize projects with end‑of‑business reports, archiving and participation in reliability actions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• First experience in project management within an industrial environment.
• Strong communication skills in French and English.
• Proven problem‑solving abilities to tackle technical challenges.
