Production Operator – Sand Processing

About the role

As a Production Operator at Sibelco in Lommel, you will ensure that sand processing and storage installations run according to established procedures and deliver semi‑finished products that meet specifications. You will work from the control room, monitoring the plant via SCADA and collaborating with the shift team.

Key responsibilities

• Operate sand processing and storage equipment from the SCADA control room.
• Monitor the production process, adjust parameters, and resolve process alarms.
• Collect sand samples at various stages and perform required tests.
• Record production data and test results accurately.
• Carry out first‑line interventions for minor technical faults.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the production and silo buildings.
• Occasionally load ships with sand product.

Required profile

• Minimum technical secondary education or equivalent work experience.
• Motivated, enthusiastic individual with a strong passion for technology.
• Good communication skills and a responsible attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts (early, late, night).
• Comfortable handling chemicals.
