Product Designer – Hardside Luggage

About the role

Samsonite is seeking a creative, hands‑on Product Designer for its Hardside collection in Oudenaarde, Belgium. You will shape travel‑bag concepts from idea through production, working on‑site four days a week with one remote day.

Key responsibilities

• Create product concepts, design directions, colour palettes, graphics and material proposals for hardside and hybrid luggage.
• Develop sketches, mock‑ups and prototypes to support decision‑making across design, development and marketing teams.
• Explore new materials, technologies and market trends through fairs, supplier input and cultural research.
• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D technical files for sampling, development and supplier communication.
• Collaborate with project managers, product managers, purchasing, quality managers and external suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
• Produce design packages and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong portfolio demonstrating colour sense and trim detail.
• Proficiency in English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel locally and globally for project implementation.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Good knowledge of 3D‑CAD and rendering software; Rhinoceros and Keyshot are a plus.
