Procurement Officer – Operational Buyer (Brussels)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Procurement Officer to join our team in Brussels. You will be responsible for ensuring the purchasing process runs smoothly, from order creation to contract management, while supporting internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up the purchasing process strictly and on time, creating purchase orders within required deadlines.
• Support internal stakeholders and suppliers on purchase‑order matters in SAP and the Ariba Network.
• Create, modify and adapt purchase orders in SAP across multiple purchasing groups.
• Create and monitor contracts in SAP, keeping records accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Manage functional mailboxes, ensuring requests are handled promptly.
• Identify process‑optimisation opportunities and work with the Operational Excellence team to implement improvements.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of SAP MM and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba is a plus.
• Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
• Ability to build good relationships with internal customers.
• Proactive attitude and clear communication skills.
• Solid understanding of the procurement process.
