Procurement Category Lead

About the role

The Procurement Category Lead joins TMC’s strategic procurement team to drive value through effective supplier partnerships. You will shape sourcing strategies that secure supply continuity while enhancing cost efficiency, quality, and overall performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end category sourcing activities, including market analysis, supplier selection, and negotiation of commercial agreements.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with functional priorities.
• Oversee supplier performance management, focusing on continuous improvement in quality, cost, service levels, and risk mitigation.
• Support global procurement initiatives such as supplier onboarding, off‑boarding, and transition execution.
• Contribute to process improvements and change initiatives by leveraging data insights and digital tools.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in supply chain or procurement, with recent experience in direct sourcing or category management.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and resolve conflicts in complex environments.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
