Private Equity Associate – Investment Analyst (Brussels)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Investment Analyst to join our Brussels‑based private equity team. Working closely with senior investors, you will be involved in the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing opportunities to supporting portfolio companies and creating long‑term value.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models and valuation analyses.
• Analyse industries, competitive positioning and business models.
• Support commercial and strategic due‑diligence processes.
• Prepare investment materials, memoranda and presentations for internal decision‑making.
• Assist senior team members in evaluating new investment opportunities.
• Participate in transaction processes and liaise with advisors and management teams.
• Conduct research to identify emerging themes, sectors and potential targets.
• Track portfolio company performance and key operational metrics.
• Support strategic initiatives alongside portfolio‑company management.
• Interact with entrepreneurs, advisors and co‑investors and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking (M&A), Transaction Services or Strategy Consulting.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
• Solid analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving skills.
• Intellectual curiosity about companies and business models.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with long‑term thinking.
• Ability to work autonomously in a small team and high attention to detail.
