Platform Engineer – Internal Developer Platform

About the role

Gaming1 is seeking a Platform Engineer to join its Platform team in Liège. You will help build and maintain the internal developer platform that enables fast, secure, and reliable software delivery across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑design and implement platform capabilities using Infrastructure‑as‑Code principles.
• Create self‑service tools and automation to boost developer productivity.
• Ensure platform security standards are applied and kept up to date.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and availability from a customer‑centric perspective.
• Implement and validate disaster‑recovery procedures and test platform resilience.
• Research, experiment with, and evaluate new technologies to drive platform innovation.
• Document platform features and run workshops to evangelize capabilities.
• Collect user feedback and continuously improve the platform experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Strong focus on self‑serviceability, automation, and developer experience.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

Required skills

• Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Ansible or similar IaC tools.
• Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
• Python.NET for automation.
• DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana for observability.
• PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Kafka.
• CI/CD pipeline tools.
