Plant Purchaser

About the role

Heidelberg Materials Benelux is seeking an experienced Plant Purchaser to lead procurement activities for its cement plant in Lixhe. You will work closely with production, maintenance, engineering and operations teams to ensure a reliable supply chain while supporting the company’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing to contract management and performance monitoring.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and delivery terms with suppliers to achieve cost‑effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand operational needs and provide timely material support.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Ensure supply continuity across multiple sites and external partners.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of procurement experience in a technical, industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven record of delivering commercial results.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent French (C2) and functional English (minimum B1).
