PhD Researcher: AI-driven Employee-Customer Relationship Management

About the role

Join a collaborative PhD project between Vlerick Business School and Glowi to explore AI-driven employee‑customer relationship management in the service sector. Over four years you will combine rigorous academic research with tangible business impact, turning data into actionable insights for a leading Belgian cleaning services company.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct academic and applied research on data analytics and AI, including data collection, modelling, and AI agent development.
• Translate research findings into real‑world applications that improve client retention, cleaner acquisition, and operational efficiency.
• Publish papers, reports, and present results at workshops, conferences, and on social media for both academic and business audiences.
• Collaborate closely with faculty, Glowi’s Area Marketing & Sales team, and other stakeholders to align research with business needs.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in data science, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Passion for business‑relevant research and the ambition to obtain a PhD.
• Fluency in English and Dutch at B2 level.
• Motivation to work in an international, open, and collegial environment.

Required skills
