People & Culture Manager

About the role

The People & Culture Manager will lead payroll, benefits, and employee relations for a hotel within the IHG portfolio. You will champion the associate journey, drive cultural initiatives, and ensure a supportive work environment aligned with IHG’s Best Place to Work standards.

Key responsibilities

• Champion employee relations, communication, and recognition programs such as surveys, surprise & delight, and anniversary celebrations.
• Plan, organize, and lead employee events including Service Week, Employee of the Quarter receptions, luncheons, GM round tables, and holiday parties.
• Drive community service initiatives and promote diversity, inclusion, and partnership months.
• Create and maintain an annual employee relations calendar and coordinate space with the events team.
• Produce employee communications via flyers, bulletin boards, and internal social media (Yammer, Facebook).
• Partner with department heads to improve employee satisfaction scores measured by surveys.
• Process payroll documents, ensure timely submission, and perform payroll corrections and audits.
• Advise employees on benefits and payroll matters; analyze benefits data for compliance.
• Provide compensation and benefits counsel to management.
• Administer workers’ compensation cases, including return‑to‑work planning.
• Champion wellness programs by organizing health fairs, fitness sessions, and sports clubs.
• Support hotel operations as an employee advocate and cultural ambassador.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee relations.
• Strong background in organizing employee events and recognition programs.
• Experience managing workers’ compensation and wellness initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and serve as a cultural ambassador.
