Payroll Manager – European Distribution Center (Belgium)

About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for all Belgian employees at our European Distribution Center in Milmort. This senior HR position ensures accurate, compliant payroll delivery while supporting the evolution of HR systems and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for Belgian staff in partnership with the external payroll provider.
• Ensure full compliance with Belgian social security, labour law and tax regulations, including statutory filings and year‑end obligations.
• Oversee administration of employee benefits such as meal vouchers, company cars, mobility budgets, group insurance and cafeteria plans.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll‑related queries, advising HR, managers and employees.
• Support maintenance, optimisation and continuous improvement of HR systems, including payroll and time‑management solutions.
• Contribute to local and global HR transformation initiatives, promoting automation and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure reliable service delivery and system support.
• Analyse payroll and HR data to provide insights for business decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll, HR operations or a related HR management role.
• Strong expertise in Belgian payroll, social legislation, labour law and tax regulations.
• Experience working with HR systems such as Workday or Time & Attendance solutions is an advantage.
• Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all organisational levels.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
