Packaging Developer

About the role

Paulig is seeking a Packaging Developer to lead the development and testing of tortilla and chips packaging. Based in Roeselare, Belgium, you will report to the Head of R&D, Packaging and collaborate with teams across Belgium, Sweden and Finland.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and test new and existing tortilla and chips packaging solutions in line with portfolio roadmaps and sustainability targets.
• Continuously improve the current packaging offering by reviewing functionality, quality and cost efficiency.
• Support production sites by contributing to improvement projects and resolving packaging line issues.
• Test packaging performance and enhance testing methods.
• Present concepts and technologies in internal projects and training sessions.
• Maintain accurate packaging data and manage changes in ERP and PLM systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in food or packaging technology or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in the food or packaging industry.
• Goal‑oriented, flexible and able to manage multiple projects independently.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in packaging data management.
• Fluent English communication; Dutch is an advantage.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience with PLM data management.
