Officer, Enablement and Logistics Policy

About the role

The Officer, Enablement and Logistics Policy provides political‑military advice on NATO’s enablement and logistics policies and planning. Working within the Defence Enablement & Logistics Section, the incumbent supports NATO and Allied consultations, helps shape strategic logistics conditions, and may deputise the Head of Section.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and coherence of NATO’s political and military approach to defence and security policy issues related to enablement and logistics.
• Prepare studies, reports and analytical papers on logistics policies, plans and their interaction with strategic defence planning.
• Facilitate implementation of high‑level political and military guidance across the NATO enterprise and monitor compliance.
• Track decisions of the North Atlantic Council and relevant committees, ensuring appropriate follow‑up.
• Coordinate with NATO and national stakeholders to advance strategic interests in logistics and enablement.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in a civil‑military environment.
• Experience in coordinating, developing and analysing defence policies, plans or concepts, especially logistics‑related.
• Good understanding of NATO defence and security policy issues and its political‑military consultative processes.
• Language proficiency: Advanced level (V) in English or French and beginner level (I) in the other official NATO language.
