New Parent Support Program Home Visitor

About the role

We are seeking a licensed professional to join the New Parent Support Program in Mons, Belgium. The Home Visitor will work directly with expectant parents and families with children up to three years old, providing prevention‑focused, strengths‑based services that support military families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct home visits and family assessments to evaluate strengths, psychosocial functioning, and risk for maltreatment.
• Develop individualized service plans and screen referrals to prioritize services.
• Deliver parenting education, pregnancy support, and practical skill‑building, including secondary and tertiary prevention for at‑risk families.
• Facilitate parenting classes, playgroups, and support groups, creating a respectful learning environment.
• Coordinate referrals to military and civilian resources and collaborate with FAP managers, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Prepare statistical and narrative reports, maintain accurate case files, and respond to service needs outside standard hours.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a registered nurse, clinical social worker, or marriage and family therapist.
• Commitment to prevention, early intervention, and supporting military families.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
