Network Implementation Engineer

About the role

Google’s Network Delivery Implementation team builds and operates the global network that connects billions of users to Google services. As a Network Implementation Engineer you will help deliver reliable, scalable network capacity by automating workflows and improving deployment processes across data centers and metro points of presence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Google’s network infrastructure reliably at scale, focusing on workflow automation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to reduce deployment cycle time and operational costs through process improvements.
• Own a defined area of responsibility, address issues, anticipate needs, and escalate when necessary.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to prevent recurring failures.
• Maintain accurate network data to support operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer 2/3 routers, and data services.
• Experience working with local telecom service providers and understanding local regulatory standards.
• Proven ability to collaborate across multiple levels and influence tactical and strategic decisions.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time.
